Direction créative et narrative d’un projet de jeu vidéo de rôle et d’investigation isométrique développé sur Unity, localisé à Paris et situé dans un monde d’anticipation maison. Pilotage du projet et coordination de l’équipe de la phase de conception au début de la préproduction.

Jeu de rôle au tour par tour en point de vue isométrique situé dans un univers médiéval-clockpunk. Librement inspiré de Final Fantasy Tactics.4 piliers de jeu : (1) choix et conséquences, (2) relations matures avec des compagnons complexes, (3) combats tactiques dans des arènes dynamiques, (4) exploration carthographique d’un monde semi-ouvert.

 CONTEXTEImmersion littéraire dans le Whitechapel de 1888
Entre le 31 août et le 9 novembre 1888, cinq femmes furent assassinées dans le quartier de Whitechapel (Londres) par un tueur surnommé “Jack l’Eventreur” par la presse de l’époque. La Ballade d’Elizabeth est consacré au féminicide Elizabeth Stride, la troisième victime de l’assassin. La fiction retrace les dernières heures de son assassinat et revient sur les enjeux socio-politiques de ce crime. &#38;nbsp;

Mon intention était de mettre en lumière le drame humain derrière ce crime.

Ecriture d’un petit conte de science-fiction
LOST ARK_ se déroule dans une station spatiale abandonnée et le but du jeu est de découvrir ce qu’il s’est passé en faisant son archéologie.
 L’histoire de jeu est pensée comme une expérience de pensée scientifique, centrée sur la question suivante : à quoi ressemblerait un musée extraterrestre consacré à la préservation de la vie sur Terre ?

Ecriture de banters, barks et micro-quêtes

L’histoire du jeu est une énigme en forme de grand puzzle narratif. Pour la déchiffrer, le joueur doit recomposer ce puzzle.
Multiples secrets (interactions, mini-quêtes, raccourcis), cachés dans l’environnement, ou conditionnés à des variables.&#38;nbsp;

︎ INTENTION

Hommage à une rencontre amoureuse


En concevant ce jeu, je souhaitais que la progression du joueur coïncide avec le processus de réminiscence de Nicole. Le but du jeu est donc d’aider Nicole à retrouver la mémoire en explorant les 3 souvenirs fondateurs de sa vie. Le “twist” de fin, c’est que le joueur incarne une projection mentale de Nicole (et non une petite fille qui lui rend visite).

Retrouver le temps perdu


Un Jour Mémorable explore le thème de la fin de vie à travers le prisme des troubles de la mémoire. Le jeu consiste à aider Nicole à reconstruire “l’édifice immense de ses souvenirs”. Cette fiction est un hommage à mes grands parents. Elle cristalise dans des vignettes de pixels quelques uns des souvenirs qui composent la mosaïque de leur vie.

La fiction contient plusieurs dizaines de banters, conçues comme des haïkus et composées à la manière d’une “symphonie” comme des variations tonales (ocmiques, absurdes, tragique...) sur le thème directeur du jeu, à savoir la relation entre la mémoire et l’oubli.

︎ MUSIQUEComme le refrain d’un souvenir


La fiction a été mise en musique par mon ami et auteur-compositeur Lionel Vinciguerra. Le refrain évoque un souvenir lointain en train de tomber dans l’oubli. Sa dégradation progressive mime l’érosion de la mémoire elle-même.
